the bull bar part i got from the junk yard and cut it up to make it smaller, the square pipe and the mounts and all the welding iv made got the hooks bolted on there. and ya its a lil over kill, better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it , to add to the story about pulling the car out of the mud , hooked the chain to the bumper and was pulling the car out (Plymoth neon) i ended up putting a big rip down its frame, and the bumper didnt budge. and another test i preformed, i ran into a yucca tree and derooted it with no damage to the bumper, sadly the fog light stopped working after.

Nice bumper good use of resourses with the jy grille guard turned out good. Although I'm gonna comment on the test phase. Doing stuff like purposely running into trees and derooting them is why our sport gets such a bad rep and so many trails get shut down. DNR loves posts like this to use against us. Remember tread lightly. Protect our resourses and wheel on brother.

Looks good, if I where u I would cap the ends though it would prevent water and mud and debris from building up in there and rotting. And don't worry about we all do silly stuff to see what our rigs can do just hope ya take my advise and help keep the image of our sport clean. We already have the disadvantage of politicians and tree huggers hating it due to how are rigs are lifted and are "dangerous and not fuel efficiant" it sucks. Here in michigan local dnr scan websites looking doe illegal wheeling pics and spots or pics of illegal activities on trails and use it against us. Its a fun sport. But one u gotta fight for to keep legal.

ya i feel ya i made the bumper part smaller and put the bull bar as close as the body as i can. it was cheaper than buying a $500 bumper. 50 for bull bar at JY and about $50 in mild steal and $20 for the AR steal. ima make a back bumper soon with a swing out gate thing to hold my sky jack and chain and such. just gotta plan it out
