I am tired of mud on my jeep! Working on the undercarriage, caked mud dropping on you. Dropping in your eyes. Trapping moisture against the undercarriage. It is important to wash that mud off the undercarriage to keep the rust away. Then you have to regrease the suspension after you wash it away with the mud...

Nice project.

Default help needed badly

so I was cruising east on I-90 ...eugene started bucking and acting like it was running out gas ...Not possible cause I just fill it up to the top
well in trying to getting him home I pulled the front bumper off
gold lining I get to build a new bumper to put up there
lead lining I dont know what is wrong so any help from the more learned members of this forum chime in

my list of culprits is fuel pump or filter either could cause this ...but I cant find the filter location in my book

Fuel filter is driver side next to the gas tank, looks like a little bottle. Filter is cheap and easy to install from what I understand. I would wager it's probably the original filter. I would replace it anyways, while your at the parts store rent a fuel pressure gauge. Check pressure before any work is done, to give you a baseline for troubleshooting. Then check after the filter is replaced, see if gets any better.

I'm not sure of the pressure spec for 96 and lower. I know my 2001 is 49 PSI plus or minus 5. Yours may be different.

a nice dude at another site said this
"check the firewall above the master cylinder. there is a ceramic resistor for the fuel pump. bypass it and see if that fixes it."
so I will try that too
it is 20 miles away so getting it home is first
off to do just that
