Building Bailey

So I first got my jeep around october of 2009 with 94K miles on it, and a pretty naive mindset of 4 wheel drive. This is building Bailey:
When I first got it, it had a 2" poly spacer up front, and a full OME 1.5" leafs in the rear with some 245/75/16 Goodyear MT/R's. Shortly after a couple of wheeling trips I noticed my rear axle was performing weird. AAA's diagnosis: crushed wheel bearing and bad ring and pinion. 4Wheel Drive Parts: Diagnosis: everything in the rear axle except the housing needs to get replaced. So, one pretty bill later. im back wheelin! Took some Trips to Uwharrie National Forrest and then....... one hot summer day on my way back from class. *PSSHHH.. blown head gasket. wha wha whaaa. well after I realized mud = jeep flu i stayed out of the mud for a while and focused on what wanted to do to the jeep. Painted the wheels and did some VHT to the tail lights and painted my wheels. Then Bought some Rusty's 3" coils for the jeep and a 2" blocks to level me out. But eventually the wheelin caught up to me and i needed to replace my power steering pump and reservoir and pully. Wasnt to bad actually. hardet part was putting the new pully on the pump. Which brings me to now! I wanted some new tires for the winter and i wanted to upgrade in size. so I just ordered the Treadwright MT/Rs in size 265/75/16 and they'll be here on the 7th! |

Angle I would think, sawzall might make a mess of things. Heard a lot of guys use Dremels too. Question though, why dual antennas?
P.s. If your going to wheel frequently and are wanting/needing a winch, save the money and get their winch bumper. No sense in blowing money on something just to upgrade it later! |
oh yeah a dremel would be nice too. going to walmart in a few i'll start there. And why dual antenna's. honestly not to sure. i just like the way they look. The reviews said that those antenna's brake easily when offroad. so when that happens id like to get some fire sticks
and the winch bumper.... ive been debating on if i should get a winch or not. I dont really like messing around in mud anymore and two of my other friends have who i wheel with have winches. so i figured its not a necessity for me. |
i have that bumper with out the stinger part and i really like it. i have used it to push down some decent sized trees
|
Are those the Guard dog M/Ts? i need some new tires and those seem affordable. How do they ride?
