the booger broke time for a new life

well new years eve was a rough night for my 1989 xj aka BOOGER and now its time to give it a new life right now its got about 4 in budget lift on it and 35 with choped fenders and a few other lil things. i just recently put a 9000lb winch on a custom bumper and a custom rear bumper starting next week im gona start tearing it down and installing my 6.5 leafs with 1.5 in shackles and 6.5 front coils with 1.75 in spacers. i am still waiting on alot of my smaller stuff like brake lines, track bar ,drop pitman arm , and my control arm drop kit but i have plenty to do in the mean time like tube fenders and rock sliders i will be posting pics of my progress i would like to hear some ideas for my ol jeep if u have any and let me know some things i should do diffrent i always welcome new ideas thanks

I like it. And plans sound good. What size tires do you plan on running with your 8 or so inches of lift?

john deer green 01-04-2012 02:47 PM

im not sure yet i work for the national guard and have 37 in humvee tires easly available but i cant find 16.5in wheels with the lug pattern i need. if i cant figure that out ill probly end up runnin 38s cus i have plenty of room with the trimming ive already done

94xjstud 01-04-2012 03:19 PM

What axles are you going to run?

For info: I am building my xj for 38's with dana 60's

john deer green 01-04-2012 03:38 PM

probly dana 44s id like to go dana 60 if i had the money and time

Lowrange2 01-04-2012 03:46 PM

What bolt pattern are you looking for?

Honestly, if you take your time looking for deals you can have a Dana60 for just a little bit more than a Dana44...

A Dana60 doesn't have to be as expensive as everyone makes it out to be.

You can have a well built 60 for under 2k. I have more than that in my 44... unfortunately. Shop around before you make a decision.
