As of July 2012 I'll start my new XJ project so this will be the thread. Here's the picture I took when I found her on Craigslist a month ago and stopped by to check her out.

How she looked the day I bought her.

This weekend I hope to get the AFe cold air intake/dry filter installed for the first mod.

Mod/Build shots.

Installed the AFe cold air intake today. Very easy and love AFe intakes. The dry filter rinses clean with water and is guarantied for life. They also have oil filters but I like the dry's.

Nice Jeep! I have the same one, 2000 Cherokee Classic in black. I'd like to do some mod's if I ever get some time and money. Looking forward to seeing your build. On a side note, let me know if you end up wanting to sell your Icon rims. Cheers.

Should be fun for sure. At this point in time I plan to keep the rims and eventually get a 5th for a spare. The soonest that would change is in two or three years when I make it a trail only rig and look in to beadlocks.

It has them but after living in northern New Hampshire and Maine for the past 15 year prior to KY I am quick to get a coat of wax on it to avoid rust. I'm sure after a couple wimpy KY winters I'll realize sand and salt aren't a concern and stop bothering with it. Even so, it won't get beat or built too much while it's my DD. It's funny, my FJ that was 8 years newer looked worse than this thing!
