Couldn't help but notice that you are near Lynchburg... My cousin lives out there also... I have been keeping up with your Jeep progress and I understand that feeling when you actually see it in the daylight and realize how bad it really was, and how much worse it could have been for you and your gf. I was in a bad accident a little over 2 years ago with my now ex-fiance and it really is a sobering moment when you think of how you both could have been hurt so much worse. I did end up fixing mine after some time but it took me a while to decide to do so... The irony is that I had only bought it back from the insurance company for the drivetrain to put in another. After it sat for a while, I had not found a replacement for it so I started tearing the front end off only to realize that the worst part of the damage was cosmetic and that it would not take much to fix the rest... Stinking 17 year old kid in his mom's nissan 240 crossed intersection without stopping. Hit him at 56 mph. I will say that the old Jeep is really tough. It is the same one that I was in an animal collision with and they called me earlier today and said it should be completely finished on wednesday!!! Finally back with my baby!!! I look back at everything that I have been through in the Jeep and swear that I will always drive one. Good luck with your xj, and good luck to both of you! By the way, like the wheels... They have been a rare find around here. I just found a set of chrome 15x10 but have not really decided to put them on yet. I also need to lift mine first, typical sagging springs in the rear. Hope to fix that issue soon by replacing the leaf packs when I lift it anyway.
