Just found out my XJ has a Tupy 0331 head, not sure how I missed this. I want to find the previous owner give him a kiss on the forehead and tell him he did a real good job.

All sorts of opinions on this.
Not if but when....
Get past 75K and you should be good....
Don't cook the engine and you should be OK....
Etc.....
'00 coming up on 200K with a 0331 head.
I know it is not a TUPY but pretty sure I am the 3rd owner so unsure if it is original to the Jeep or not.

Got them installed, they are nice, don't notice much difference though.

Installed the LEDs, glad I did the rear since they are much brighter, but adding LEDs in the front now kills the side blinkers. Would a headlight harness fix this?

Get some non polarity 194's for the side markers and you should be good.

Think I found the tapping on cold start. Looks like an exhaust leak, you can see the black soot on the fuel injector.

The tapping at cold start is starting to concern me. Not sure if it is en exhaust leak. Does sound closer to the front of the engine. I'm going to switch to higher detergent oil, and will double check the flexplate bolts.

I don't have a garage, so using a doctors stethoscope to locate the sound is out of the question. Last thing I need is for my neighbors to think I'm a crazy person giving my Jeep a physical.

Cleaned up my cable ends, and changed the oil. And one of my favorite upgrades, Mishimoto magnetic drain plug.

Just use a long screwdriver to isolate the noise. Won't matter how loud the ambient noise I'd, you'll hear it
