Hello all this is my first Jeep and i'm new to the wheelin' community. I have been building this XJ for about a year now and just starting to do some light trail runs to test everything out and see how she does.

First days at the lot where I got her.

One of the First things I did was new HID lights then I purchased 2 extra stock roof rails from some guy at a gas station, and a decent roof rack was thrown on the roof. At the time I was employed at my local Oreilly's so I got MSD wires and MSD coil, E3 spark plugs and K&N cold air intake. I also replaced the powersteering pump, pully, hoses and an alternator and a harmonic ballencer, serpentine belt and sway bar bushings and shock bushings and motor mounts all to track down squeeks.

Next was a set of 33x12.5.15 GT GRABBER

And the vary next thing was to cut out the fenders and put on some Bushwacker flares

Taking a die grinder to your new rig is kinda scary but I did better than the directions suggested.

Second Post to keep it neat

After those projects I re wired the lights put everything on relays and added back up lights on the rack along with a WOLO beacon just incase.
installed a CB and set up my interior with products from my new job RAM MOUNTS.

I put 9 surface mount switches in this stock panel just a little grinding with the rotary tool to make it all one level and made a template and wired it all up to relays.

Thanks everyone!!
So I had such a blast tearing up the hills this weekend I cracked the frame next to the steering box... SHIZA!! ok so what to do and how to do it is my question for all the seasoned XJ users what is the best fix for this? I want to go again this weekend =)

Djmonkey 05-28-2014 08:48 PM

Oh and stuckinthecedar working for RAM MOUNTS is the best company I am part of the Production Management Team and what goes in to the parts is top end stuff! I try to get the mounts to fail on the trail and they all stand up to the test.
