I'm looking for some advice. I just picked up 2 cherokees 1 is a stock 2000 4.0 with a automatic that I have no plans on changing. The other is a 2001 with a 4.5" lift and 31s that will probley go to 33s also 4.0 automatic.The stock xj has a chrysler 8.25 and the lifted one has the Dana 35 in it. Will I be able to do a direct swap from one to the other?

yes.

The jeep with the dana 35 probably has ABS. The 8.25 does not, or it was already disabled. You can disable it by pulling the fuse. There is additional information about it on the forum.

Xjs with dana 35 came with abs and xjs that came stock with 8.25 didn't come with abs. You won't find abs and the 8.25 in a stock xj from the factory.

that is correct one is the stock one is not abs the other one is. do I have to disable the abs when I swap the axels?

I have a line on a d30 high pinion and a christler 8.25 with disk conversion for 600 is good price???

Hp d30 here go for 100-150
8.25 75-250
Disk brake 75 ish.

Even high side 475. But those are numbers for that stuff being side where I live.
