No, I don't lick fish.
Go Fel-Pro or go home! lol... seriously though get a FelPro. Comes with the little plastic pegs that make reinstalling it a lot easier and it's a really good gasket to boot.
I've got a few "Cherokee" badges if you need 'em. I might even have a spare "Jeep" badge too.

It's not a bad idea at all. After reading this yesterday I thought maybe a grill and headlight change, reshaping the wheel wells to the classic XJ shape, and Jeep Cherovan badges might be in order if I covert the van. lol

Yep. I'm gonna get 2,000 degree ceramic header paint in white and paint the header as well. (Gotta weld up the famous crack at the collector first).

Aha. Found one on eBay.
While I was there I also ordered the Mopar 195 thermostat.
I'm thinking this weekend, I should pull all the accessories off the engine in the ZJ and apply the paint to them before mounting on the new block. Especially the water pump because a ZJ version is different. It has the studs to hold the fan clutch in place. The XJ version doesn't have it.

Over the weekend, I pulled the intake & exhaust manifolds off the ZJ, along with power steering bracket (set the PS pump aside) so I won't need to go through the hassle of draining/refilling/bleeding it. Removed the fan and shroud. Disconnected everything. Just need to drain the coolant out before I can start pulling the radiator & water pump.
The valve cover gasket is brand new on it so I will reuse it.
Since I already have two cans of red header paint from previous project, I'm gonna use that up on the ZJ header. Just gotta weld up the crack first.
Pics coming later
