Been a member for awhile without posting so i figured id start a build thread for my jeep. I started with a bone stock 96 2door 4wd 2.5 5speed. The guy I bought i got it from was about 3hours from scraping it. It needed some work but it was all small things. Windshield, waterpump, pass front window, radio and just a good going over and cleaning. Threw a cd player, window, water pump in it got a windshield installed and gave it a good cleaning and going over and it has been one of the best jeeps ive ever owned. The air conditioning even works and this is the best part. NO RUST!!! witch is a big deal in PA. The only pictures I have are after we put a thrown together 5in lift and some 31s I got for a set of seats.

Got bored with the black wheels and threw a set of echos on it. It cleans up pretty good. It was pretty much flat black when I got it from being neglected but alittle work with the claybar and wax fixed it right up.

The lift on it works well but Im getting ready to go to 6in. I have a rough country long arm kit, rubicon express coils and an iron rock double shear track bar. I gotta get shocks and a few other things but its pretty much ready to go.

I have a set of the new flat flares ordered for it.

As soon as my moms car gets out of the garage I can put my long arms and new track bar on. My tires wheels and flares are supposed to be in this week so im excited about that.

Near future plans are

New shocks and possibly bar pin eliminators

Regear to 4.88s and swap in the the disk brake 8.8 I picked up cause the 4.10 arent gonna cut it with the 33s.

V8 zj tierod and draglink (have the parts just need to install)

Bumpers winch and sliders

Exhaust, efan and whatever else I can do to squeeze some more juice out of the ole 4banger. Lot of good info on 4bangers.com if anyone cares.

Thats about it for now. Hopefully I can get the long arms in before my flares and stuff come.

I got the same style rims aswell there called 9018. I have the same style but I got the charcole ones, the silver ones really make your cherokee standout now. looks nice.

My flares, tires and three of my wheels came friday. I didnt really get any pics while I was installing the flares. They cut out alot more then I thought they would. I never put on a set of cut out flares before but I think they came out good.

It took me forever to get them on. I was trying to be carefull, and do a clean job. I filed of the edges and and painted everything to make sure I dont a have a rust problem down the line. I also cut the front bumper at an angle and painted it semigloss black. It looks pretty stupid right now but It should clear the 33s no problem

Picture of my KM2s and the three wheels I got. The last one should be here monday so I can get them on the jeep. I had to send two back cause they came scratched and the replacments came before my fourth wheel. Hopefully tomarrow I can get some pics with the new tires and wheels.

I was also wondering If I should get the white letters in or out on the tires. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking.

Got the new wheels mounted today and I LOVE THEM!!! I saved for a long time for these and I think it was worth it.

Overall Im very happy. The tires are smooth and pretty quiet all things considered. It really doesnt run bad but its a 4cly and its time for 4.88s. A rust bucket 96 2dr 4.0 5speed poped up for sale and I tossed around the idea of a 4.0 swap but its allot of work. For now Im pricing gears and getting ready for the 8.8 swap.

I've never seen the 4-cylinder engine bay, care to post pics? Wonder if they make a super charger for it, that might solve your power problems.

Those 33s still look small. Are those control arm drop brkts? Or do the RC long arm kit mount that far up? I'm also looking at upgrading to an Iron Rock long arm kit.

Really looking great, love the improvements.. Love the flares, who makes them and how much ?
