Got my sway bar quick disconnects installed tonight:
Pretty stoked about these, It was something I was seriously considering for my patriot before I decided to sell it, and I'm very happy that I have them on my XJ. a small thing I guess, but one that makes me happy.
Looking at the instructions it looks like I have my track bar left to install of the lift components, then I have one new tie rod end, and a boot for the other side (have to replace the one, it's shot. other side looks good, but could stand a new boot). then to go through and torque everything up and then I will start on the rear. Don't know when I'll get a chance to. tomorrow I volunteer at an employment office in the evening, and Friday my daughter is going in for a 3-5 hour surgery, so I doubt I'll get anything done this weekend. you might have to suffer an update from me on Thursday, but I'll be pretty quite for a while.
Oh, and talked to metal cloak, they are going to get me the missing pieces of the shock absorber. so I have that too.

Got finished with installing all the pieces of the front half of my lift, started on the rear, stopped when the temp in the garage got over 100 degrees. will pick back up again tonight.

Finished installing my lift! and by finished I mean all the pieces are installed and wheels are on the ground. Still need to bleed the brakes and torque everything down.
Then I just have to actually get it running again...

I don't have a ton of experience with a lot of different makes/models of control arms to compare it with, but the overall quality seems really high. The welds are done very well, it has their very nice bushings. Overall i would say the quality is very high on these parts.

I've been out of commission for a while with an overheating issues, was going to work on it this weekend, but the gaskets that were sent to me were damaged in the mail, and Since my gaskets are out the window, started to install my cb. Got the power brick installed, and the wires started before I ran out of light.

So a friend of mine who used to work for a shop that's gone under due to poor management, has decided to go out on his own and is working out of his house. He's offered to work on my jeep for pretty cheap since he just needs the business. he came out today, and confirmed that I have a blown head gasket, and will be coming Tuesday to start working on it. He's gonna charge me $200 to take the head off (way faster than I probably could have gotten it done in), and to test it and the block to see if either have warped from my stupidity. I could have my jeep up and going in the next few weeks, so I'm pretty excited about that. then charge me 200 to put it back together if the head is good, or if I can source a replacement. if the block is warped... we'll see.
