haha, i was thinking about doing the opposite. I wanted to put an early model hatch on my 99 because i want the metal light covers from jcr but the new model ones look stupid IMO.

The good thing about the older style door is you wouldn't have to worry about it rusting. Their made out of fiberglass. You could add the boxy style taillights on the newer Cherokees but would have a 1-1/2 gap.
