99 xj overland..... 2?

Well after having 4 Cherokees so far, 89 2wd, 95 4wd, 96 4wd, and my weapon of choice now.....99 4wd, I have decided to make a build/hack/mod thread. All were 4.0 with 8.25 in the rear. I learned the hard way jeeps weren't all 4wd when I bought my first thinking I was invincible. Nope. 2wd fail. Now later in life after tons of fixing/cussing/getting out of mud and into rocks(also called growing up), getting a jeep tattoo a

nd plenty of criticism, I thought it was time for a build thread. I got the jeep for 3000 when I was in Iraq for my third deployment. I searched for 5 months until I found this one with 150000 miles, 4wd, never driven off road, auto, 4.0, 8.25, hp 30......etc. I wired my dad money and he went and drove it twice before he bought it for me. When I got back from Iraq, it was time to drive my jeep in Texas for the first time, and then send it to north carolina via a big rig. Then the mods came. I love racks(all of them). I started out with a Yakima and then transitioned to the gobi full basket! Awesome! After that came the snorkel, the rear sway bar removal, fuel cluster replacement, doggie cage, old man emu lift 2.5" heavy effin duty!, 30x9.5x15 falken rocky mountain all terrains(best at ever, and I've run bfg before), dual batteries, limb risers(the cables), front bumper made of f650 frame(5/16), hood vents, dual electric fans, flowmaster super 10, relocated original flares, leather seat upgrade(75 bucks!), doorless, chopped, and more look at the pics. Thanks for looking. I'm open to criticism.

what did you use to cap the rear after you chopped it? Mine is chopped and I'm trying to find the cleanest look and I like yours

I used sheet metal and welded it to the holes as a cap, painted it, and it looks finished.

Limb risers..... They make limbs rise over the windshield lights and snorkel instead of ripping them off or breaking them. YouTube it. Land rover wear them sometimes.

Did you get the leather seats out of a junked limited XJ? I would love to make the switch. Were there power components to connect?
