a long time ago i had a black nissan 4x4 pickup and have been longing for the day i could get back into a black 4x4. Well the time has come and can't wait to build this thing up. I've always loved xj's and this one caught my eye and couldn't pass it up. Big plans for her in then near future. Many posts to come on the progress but for now....here are a couple pics of the way she is right now. STOCK!

had some gear on the porch today when i got home. 5 1/2" critical path LA kit with over the knuckle steering and hack and tap SYE with refurbished drive shaft. Also went and picked up my tires and wheels from the local shop. Gettin excited now, just gotta find some time between taking care of the kids, the wife, and work. I'll git r dun somehow

got some work done on the project this weekend. Pulled both axles out and got gears and lockers bought. Just need to clean up the housings before i put all this sweet suspension under it. Gonna truss the d30 in the front with 4.56 gears and ected selectable. The back is gonna get the same 4.56(obviously) and a true trac LS.I'm still gonna drive this thing on the road quite a bit and didn't want a full spool in the back for that reason.

also mocked up the tires underneath it to get an idea of the finished product....(so far away) but i just couldnt wait

Ya they are the hercules trail diggers. I decided to give em a try. I've ran bfg mudders on all my rigs in the past but i decided to try something new. I've heard some mixed reviews but we'll see.

did a bunch of work on the rig over the weekend. Finally got the front 30 regeared and cleaned and painted. Started to put the new suspension underneath it and also got my passenger front bushwacker flare on. Picks to come shortly. Those bushwackers are a little time consuming to get them right.
