Hello, my name is cody and I recently got a hold of a blown up 98 Cherokee with 127k miles. At the time my zj was having tranny problems and my father and I tried a few things and it didn't fix it so We decided to take on a new project. It would be.this Xj. Our plan is to.take the engine out of my zj and put in the Cherokee, use the coils and.shocks off the front of the grand and lower control arms. I've done a few things so.far and I will Keep you guys posted on whatever We do, thanks for checking.this out!
Here was the Xj when.We first brought it home. Attachment 131454 We spent hours cleaning the inside and out because my friend blew it up one night at a friends.house. We got.the front nose on, put my 31s off my zj on it and no lift, got my sound system in it and put a light bar I got off another friends old Xj on. Attachment 131455 Also took those rear side window stickers off. Here's a few shots of my grand. Attachment 131456 Attachment 131458 Attachment 131459 |

Well did alittle work today, took the end caps off the front bumper, I dunno whether I should leave them off or what. And I got some hella 500's going on the front. They aren't mounted but they're sitting up there. Got my box in the back and I'm trying to decide where to.put the fore extinguisher mount.

Looks like an underbed box... Usually mount them under flatbeds.

their are a few holes in the gas tank, me and my dad were thinking maybe apoxy, becauase we dont think the gas tank off the zj would work since its 3 gallons bigger. need help!!

There's a write-up about it and a wealth of general XJ knowledge here: http://jeep-xj.info/HowtoFuelTank.htm |

Basically the tanks have the same dimensions, but the 16 gallon tank's vent tube cuts it off at 16 gallons vs. the 20 gallon tank. The total capacity of these tanks is actually about 23-25 gallons depending on how well you modify the vent tube. SWEET! Now you just gotta figure out if it has LSD, C-Clip or Non C-Clip, and what the spline count is... and of course the gear ratio - which will probably be 3.55
