98 RHD cherokee 5 spd swap.
 

Hey there, im new to this forum and am planning a build.
My plan is to take my 98 cherokee which is right hand drive auto, and switch the transmission to standard from my 97 sport with a blown head. i plan to also take the suspension. doors. glass everything. to my 98. as it is rusty. but its a jeep thing right? i will update with pictures along my way. i will even be fabbing my own front bumper. and what not and eventually lifting.
i have a suspended license so time is no issue haha.
any insight along the way would be awesome.

isnt in right side drive vehicles the shift pattern opposite from a left side drive vehicle, and you would have to moddify the shifter and pedals to make it work

Everything is mainly different. there is even less room for feet. so i might have to widen it a little. etc. it will take time. but worth it imo

wouldnt it be easier to put the motor in 97 and fix rust? unless there is barely any metal and is all rust

the rust is on my RHD, i would love to just put in the other motor. they are the same. im not that good with engines. and lack working space. both rockers are gone on both jeeps. you'll see when i post pics haha
