i bought a 1995 camaro z28 6speed.

It was fun for a little to have nice fast car, especially a z28 that had 275 horses and 6speed!:rockon: But after I had my fun with her I had that urge we all get when we are XJ-less. So I sold her for 4300 and got me a stock 97 xj sport in dark blue. Pretty much rustless and I believe it has the tow package, noticed the trans cooler in front of the radiator(I believe thats what it is) Which has the Chrystler 8.25 axle and 3.73 gear ratio :thumbup: I got her for 2500, sweet! Now I got some money to throw into it.

Lookin purty :icon_smile: So the first thing I sought out to do was fix the trim on the driver side door, it was half falling off. Picked up some new double sided tape and all fixed.

The first big purchase for the xj was tires and rims:

After some time speculating which lift to get, while on a college budget, I saved up for some time. I was planning on getting the IRO 6.5" long arm kit for 1450, but i couldnt really afford it while attending college.. I went ahead and bought the RC 6.5" short arm kit. I know you guys hate it but it'll work for me as this we'll be my dd and weekend warrior.

And the day the tires and wheels got mounted:

I had to some minor cutting on my fender trim and bumper ends to minimilize rubbing but I am gonna eventually cut the fenders up high and get either HORE metal tube flares or a set of bushwacka's. IDK yet.

I just ordered a new Drag link end due to the fact that i pretty much toasted the one on there now when i removed the stock pitman arm. The ball joint in the end kind of moves freely. I still have to grease up all my bushings in the control arms.

I also just ordered RE control arms drop brackets to get itback to someone stock handling. But i have a serious death wobble right now, I have an alignment scheduled next week, plus im putting my sway bar links on today so im hoping that helps somewhat. Plus when I get the drop brackets it will help with pinion angle. I've heard that may cause some of the DW. Im gonna re-tighten my trackbar, which is the RC adjustable. Not the greatest, and i may upgrade soon to Kevin's Offroad trackbar Conversion kit. My tie rod and drag link are stock but they look good to me.

If anyone can throw any other suggestions at me to narrow down this dreaded DW it would much be appreciated, but im gonna see how she rides once I get an alignment and install the drop brackets. Oh and tighten up that trackbar, I did tighten the sh!t out of it though, maybe i didnt tighten it down well enough, I cant really fit a torque wrench up in that trackbar frame mount so I just used a breaker bar and tightened until I couldnt without shaking the jeep.

Its been a minute since I posted in here. I'm having an issue with my parking lights. My HID lights wouldn't turn on today and after examining everything I found that the inline fuse was blown and after trying to put another fuse in it blew immediately. And right when it blew my parking lights turned off, now they only work when I push my brake in, including my dashboard cluster lights. Not too mention all the interior lights stay on even when the car is off without the key in it. So somewhere in the hid wiring, which was all pretty much brand new, is either shorting somewhere or just burnt. So I ended up ripping all that out and put my factory lights back in and they work fine but im still having an issue with my parking lights. Has this happened to any of you?

My thinking is a bad ground somewhere, bad light switch, blown fuse(I checked pretty much all the fuses I needed to)

Oh and after disconnecting the battery ground to the chassis and reconnecting it my jeep would turn over but wouldn't start. So I unplugged my terminals for a while, went back and it started ****ty the first tie but after that it started right up every time.

Could it be a bad ground connection to the chassis?

Before my HID's wouldn't turn on, whenever I hit the brakes my Odometer would just disappear and my speakers would produce static, but only when I hit my brakes.

Another thought is it could be my hitch trailer wiring becoming exposed, plus we have a lot of snow here.

I would really appreciate some more input, im gonna look more into it this weekend.

check the IOD fuse in the engine compartment... It should be labeled on the cover of the box. That fuse controls the radio, interior lights, gauges and a few other things. Also check the kick panel fuse cuz when the IOD blows usually one under there does too. Hope this helps

omg I feel like the worlds biggest tool! I just realized that those mini fuses in the engine bay fuse box were NOT spares...

So I replaced them all and viola! park lights work, but now I'm having an issue with it starting again.. do i need to disconnect the battery to let it reset? I relocated my battery's ground the bolt that attaches the fender to the chassis..that should be sufficient enough to have a good ground right?

I feel like this happened because I took out a bunch of fuses to check it and then put it back with the battery still connected..

Ok so i unglugged the wire from the Ignition coil, cranked for 5 seconds, reattached the boot to the ignition coil and it started rough the first time and didn't the second time...bad ign coil? or cps?
