Started on my little project. I started out just wanting to put 31 x 10.5 tires on the cherokee. Well that hasn't changed but I've been seeing all these cool accessories and wanted them too.
I've started by building the roof rack and bumpers. The roof rack and rear bumper is built. Once I get the front bumper with winch built and installed I plan on Hurculining everything as well as rip out the carpet and do the inside.
Then I'll see how much lift I'm going to need for the 31's. I've been told 3 inches but I figured I'd add some weight with the bumpers and winch and may need more? I'm thinking a bastard back on the rear with a rough country kit minus the rear leafs. What say you? I'm thinking mild off roading compared to most of you guys. This has been used for the past year and a half as a four wheeler with a heater/a.c. Checking fences, scattering salt to cattle etc.
For now I want a handy mobile to work here on the ranch and a hunting buggy for the annual trip out west. I may get addicted here though and end up with a true wheeler.
Here are the before pictures:

I'll post more as I get it done this winter.

Got the front bumber tacked up. I think I'm getting carried away for only planning a 3 inch lift. I guess I will be ready if I want to go bigger at some point.
I also trimmed of a little of the front part of the front fender.

Good fab work. I bet you end up with 4" to 5" lift when it is time on 33's. Keep the pics coming.

Here are a few "finished" pics. I went straight from the shop to the pasture mud. I didn't get too serious, the tires I got on the second hand rims have had all the good used up on them and I'm not in that big of a yank to use the winch. I'll drive a week or so and then head to town for new tires and an alignment. I also need some exhaust work done.
Ended up with a IRO 4" lift. The cheap one. I'll upgrade as time and money allows. This is a sickness, the more I do the more I want to do.
