Worked yesterday afternoon and almost finished but it was raining off and on so I didn't. Cranked it up and had a mis becuase my injector rail was leaking since its rusty and I messed with swapping the injectors. Btw the ones I'm trying are 34lb ls2 motor injectors. I'm headed to the junkyard to get a new rail and will probably just run the injectors it comes with to make sure the engine is good before I swap new ones. Here's head after machine shop and a quick coat of paint
Heading sittin on the block
Torqued down to 110, Exept the one in front which is 100 and use rtv on it. My kit came with a tube of high torque rtv.

****ty weather
Next mourning everything hooked up ready for junkyard
Minus a few things like air box and cables

1st post been lurking in the shadows here a couple of weeks since I purchased my first XJ and right now I am in process of jacking up my 98 classic. Got a friend with a shop and lift so letting him do it for cheap. 4.5 zone lift got the 15x8 cragars on order with 4 in of backspacing.
I was hoping to run 33s on it but do not want to cut it till I can afford some bushwackers so after much reading I will probably settle for 32x10.5s I kind of like the look of the skinnier tire anyhow. Zone says kit will accept 32x11.5s with no cutting but I dont trust that. Will be slapping a header, exhaust and cold air intake on it around Christmas.
Couple of minor issues thus far. Broken bolts and such but over came them and broke a bleeder screw off a caliper so replacing it. Other than that purchased this xj last weekend and everything worked great. Got home an hour later and the dang DS power window motor quit working but thats how it goes. As it stands now got about 1000 in the lift installed which apparently is good for someone else doing the work so I aint gonna complain to much. The lift and extra parts is 800 of that.
Got a question about the extended brake lines. They came with mounting hardware, a rubber coated clamp, but there does not seem to be a good spot to mount said brake line mount to the vehicle. This may be because the jeep is still on the lift and everything is stretched out to the max. Would be sitting on ground by now but did not realize kit did not come with trac bar so ordered one of them as well. Should be done by Monday will get some pics then. Guess my question is where did yall attach yalls extended break lines to the vehicle at. Seems simple but dont want to yank one loose the first time I cross a rut.

I was thinking about the bump stops in order to avoid cutting it but think I will probably be just as happy with 32s as with 33s. Not going to be doing much rock crawling or heavy wheeling at least I dont plan to. Mainly going to be a mountain dirt road rider but if I come across a trail and feel froggy I want to be able to do it. Think the 32s will suit my needs just fine and if not I will cut it then.

Thanks man. Forgot I asked about it cause I got it figured out a couple of days ago. The problem was the lines I had were simply to long. Left way to much hanging in the breeze for my liking. Ended up finding some a few inches shorter and that took care of that. Now I just got to slap some tires and wheels on it and I will be ready to pop this virgin XJs cherry.

No goin back now lol. I decided to just cut it and then weld a plate from the trunk floor to the quarter. They sit flush and I think it will be as strong as the folding. Also how bad the previous owner did the fender cutting. Feuds they didn't know about the spot welds lol. So I got it tached up and going to weld solid maybe this weekend. So much better not seeing the crack on the fender well and not having the whole side of your jeep flap
They also didn't weld the floor that put in to the frame rails. Wtfff
