My money pit
Starting this on my phone late at night because I can't sleep. I have been slowly working on a 95 Cherokee sport since November. This my first attempt at real wrenching and I spent about 6 months figuring what direction I wanted to go. So here was the plan
Iron rock off road 5.5 long arm lift
Jcr DIY winch bumper and sliders
8.8 swap with super 88 kit 4.88s and Arb
Keep Dana 30 but sleeve the axle and add 30
spline chromos and Arb. Riddler covers for
both
Volant air intake banks headers and magna flow exhaust...waiting for bored throttle body and programmer
35x12.5x15
Rough country winch. Need a winch and price is right

Terrible picture but only one I have of stock form. 195000 miles and everything is bone stock for 900$. Had to get front and rear main seals fixed, headers had a crack and cat converter was bad so my plan was replace with upgrades.
Roof rack was a freebie from my father in laws renters. While I was waiting for cash flow I did cb new cd deck, speakers, and of course cup holders
Found my 8.8 with disc brakes so I stared prepping it up. Then got my swap kit from iron rock off road and all my prior mentioned goodies and had Adams Drive shaft( awesome shop here in Henderson NV) install the guts

Still waiting for the rest of the funds for the front axle I started keeping myself busy and rook off the front bumper and trimmed a small portion of the fenders to get ready for the new bumper

All the stuff for the Dana 30 came in so it is now time to tear this baby apart and start the transformation. Front axle came out first along with all the steering to make room for the IRO heavy duty steering
Attachment 112843
Cut off the LCA brackets and painted the fender wells
Attachment 112844
And after getting everything back in the front end she looked like this ( everything is off center it's not your vision

It's looks super cool with 35s up front and 29s in the back lol. Oh yea the bumper was done while we waiting for the axle, super easy and it was done by a novice welder. It did take some "remodeling" to fit the winch in. Winch was 500 shipped from xtremeterrain.com 9500# with a synthetic line

Bumper came flat. It was bend with c clamps a work bench a vice grips in 45 min welded up in about 3 hrs.
Rear end was pretty easy compared to the front end but a few problems came up. The new drop shackles hit my exhaust so I had to sawzall the exhaust. And the shocks IRO sent me only have 2.5" up travel and they said I got the right ones so that will need to be fixed( my only complaint with IRO so far)

Tacking on the new mounts
Attachment 112853
All welded except the passenger side shock mount was on the rear so It had to be cut off and moved forward.

New brakes lines are in
Attachment 112856
Semi finished product. It stink bugs so I will be ordering some ACOS. And while trimming fenders I cut a tendon in my index finger so while that is being fixed the SYE and driveshaft will be done and Arb compressor rigged up by a buddy of mine
Attachment 112857
Front fender cut
Attachment 112858
Started rear cut
Attachment 112859
Attachment 112860
Finished my finger cut
So while the dr fix me my buddy got my jeep rolling and I took it out to find something to flex it on before dark and this is the best I could do but **** I was just excited to be driving it finally
Thanks for checking this out. It's kind of wierd because it is 5 months crammed into one insomnia night but now that in getting a little but better at taking pictures of what I'm doing I hope this build thread gets better...please feel free to judge comment or ask questions on my poor mans JK
