I'll grab you some links
Basically you take a chevy s10 or dodge dakota leaf pack
(search around junkyards normally want too much, I paid 40$ off craigslist)
And you cut the eyeholes off the end, so your left with a bunch of leafs.
Now you mix and match the leafs with your xj leafs to get the desired amount of lift.
All packs are different, there is no cookie cutter science.
The beauty of it is you dont have to remove your xj main leaf, so it saves a ton of hassle.

Dont hold me to this, but id say if the arch is nice on the s10 pack, just adding the s10 main as the number 2 spring (retain the rest of your xj pack) should grab around 2 inches of lift.
I added the s10 first, third and helper spring and eliminated the xj 3rd spring and helper spring and got about 3 inches of lift.
My s10 pack was from a 99 s10 2wd, and my xj springs were pretty worn.

I'm sorry but I think that woulda been my parts jeep and I'd built the white one.. you got plenty of rust issues.. was the white one worse?? or not 4x?

the tan jeep has like 6 rot holes in the roof, a broken windshield and was in a flood at some time or another. rust isnt anything im new too.

Not bad for my first jeep haha.

Plan is to have sub 1800 into it all said and done.

i used leafs off of a 2000 durango. i used all the durango leafs except the top leaf. and i got rid of all the xj leafs except the top(needed the eyes to match up) and i got at least 3 inches bc with the 2.5 inch block im sitting at about 6-6.5

thanks! i totally forgot to update this,

well jeepfest was cool. Now that I understand it more, next year will be much more fun. Plus I should have this jeep there.

DTPA sold me some tires and had Matt bring them to jeepfest for me. allowing me to pick them up and pay for them at JF.

Mithuth sold me this CB for a really good price :D
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...r/CIMG1614.jpg
Stay tuned for the front axel, which should be going in soon, and tons of other updates that I now have planned.

fast forward to tonight, I think I ordered an antenna, mount and cable for the cb. I say think because I just punched in my paypal debit card info into the site, hopefully they will just charge it like a normal credit card, this being the only form of plastic i have and all.

I'll know tomarrow I guess :D.
I also picked up new brake pads for the front and a new belt that i forgot to pick up when I bought everything else, thanks to that special someone forgetting the list at home. ah well she vacumed the jeep, it balanced out.

I have a question on the bastard packs. Will springs from a 4x4 s-10 work? I have a set from a 4x4 and hope they will work.

Yes the 4x4 springs tend to have more arch. I'm so happy that I spend 84$ on lifting the rear instead of full leaf packs, basically, i could do 3 bastard packs at 3 different times to one set of new full leaf lift packs.

Anyways I pulled the trigger on a cb antenna, mount, cable and spring, and it was insanely expensive thru walcott cb, apparently they are a trusted vendor so I used them i dunno.

mount was over 20
cable was 25
antenna was a great deal 20$ for a firestik firefly 4'
spring was another like million dollars.
