Default 92 Budget Build

Decided to make a build page, even though it is going to take a LONG time.

Specs:
Laredo
4.0 HO
Auto Trans.
NP242 t-case
C8.25 rear
d30 front
currently running 235 75 r15s that came with it. They are cooper discoverer st's. 2 are about shot, been keeping an eye out on craigslist.

Done so far:
Mechanical oil pressure gauge
new rear brake shoes, hardware kit and drum
new valve cover gasket

I want to run 30's or 31's on a different set of rims, may end up doing a 2" BB sooner or later

I dont want to chop this one up just yet, going to be DD'ing it for awhile until I get a truck, then may turn it into dedicated wheeler. I have a 2008 Grand Prix as well, so if I need to do a big project to it, it can sit.

When I first got it

Back hatch open, person before had system obviously, I left all the wires just hid them under rear seat. No system for me.

Interior shot

200k+

The roof rack that came with it(currently have it off)

here how it sits now w/out rack

Added sunpro Mechanical Oil pressure gauge, thought this was the best location. Toggle controls rear aux backup lights, which I need to replace. Missing the ashtray too, no biggy.

Shiny new stablizer among rusted parts

hey mine is the same style model and color everything only its a 1991. You can view my images and shows how to add 97-01 grilles on it if you want that. I have a chrome grille on mine.

Getting the windows tinted on mine as mine are clear and adding the 3" lift

I like the chrome grill. I plan to leave mine alone. Tinted windows are a good mod, this has them on all the back, but its old and faded.

Thanks again Krash, where abouts do you live? PM if you want, I am in the TWP.

You don't want the seats lol, the driver side lever is broke so it wont lean forward or back, and the motor wont move seats forward or reverse. They just go up and down and tilt.

Did some maintenance and drained and refilled both diffs. The rear was only about half full from leaking....Front was good.

Here is the rear 8.25

Didn't see any shavings so thats good.

Painted the rear Diff cover.

The Front Diff. cover

Picked up some $18 small white lights to replace the ones on the back. Took all of 10 min to change them out.

Still can't get the fill plug out of the T-case to change that fluid. Gonna soak it in PB blaster for a couple days after I pick some up, and maybe heat it up with torch. Had to go pick up a 30mm socket(bought a whole set of the larger metric sockets) and breaker bar and I picked up a new torque wrench. Its always nice having an excuse to buy tools!

Thanks lkmyxj

Krash you wouldn't happen to have a welder would you?
I want to fab up some mouting brackets and weld to my roof rack. I have a set of lights I want to mount up there.

I see you have west palm beach on your location. I was down in Del Ray for a week back around new years. I loved it down there, spent a little time in WPBeach.

Do you guys think this will be adequate?

Got this for free, and its stupid Jeep never had front tow hooks...

I only installed on the one side, I do have another.

It will be a last resort thing., and eventually I hope to have different front bumper.

Need to get the front trim piece out of the way or trimmed to have access to tow hook, but didn't want to yet in case this was a waste of time.
