Started stripping the failing plastic coating off the window trim. I used a torch to heat it up, then scraped it off, after I got most of it off I went back over it, heating it up and cleaning the remaining plastic residue off with a steel wool pad.

Does anyone know of a better or faster way to strip this off?

Finished stripping all of the failing black plastic off the trim bits. I'll have them at the powder coating shop tomorrow. Accurate Powder Coating for anyone in the Denver area rocks, I've used them tons of time.

Took all the trim pieces to my powder coater to finish with a mat black.

Also spent a few hours tonight replacing all 4 shocks with the set of RC N3's I've been holding onto for a while.

The front passenger side was completely trashed with zero dampening.

I also experienced a saint Patrick's day miracle

All 8 bolts, including the 4 in the back came out with no drama.

Everything has been replaced with 10.9 grade flang head bolts and the back ones got some anti-seize on them to help future me out.

Good thing you did that work on Patrick's Day! Otherwise you'd probably still be working on replacing those shocks!

Reinstalled the automatic radio antenna. I did a bit of rewiring so that a standard automatic antenna would work

As the new radio doesn't really need the antenna for Bluetooth (and really the reception is really good without it) I wired up a secret under-dash switch on the left hand driver side that let's me keep it down unless I really need it.

Toward you it stays down, away from you it goes up.

Very nice I am looking to install one on my 88. I've been to the pine barrens 2 times and lost the antenna both times. I've been to a lot of other pin striping trails and never lost one, so I'm thinking it must have been the Jersey Devil that keeps grabbing it. I am looking for a power antenna though and will do I very similar switch as you have, nice build going.

Had it out of the garage today, was going to get it smogged but the wait was too long. I'll wait until tomorrow morning but I got a nice picture with the DLR on
