I ordered the RC shackle relocation bracket and a Rusty's 3/4 lift shackle . The ride and flex is much better but since it gave me about an 1 1/2" overall lift increase my shocks were overextending. I had to go with a 1/2 ton truck shock for the length and now i have about 5" of up travel and 7" down. You can see the difference between the old 4.5" lift shock and the new shock.

Nice build. This is the cleanest looking 91 I've seen since 91.

I have a lot of projects that I have done that I just don't have pics of but Im gonna try to keep up my build thread from here on. A list of other projects I have done are:
  • 02 Grand Cherokee seats (wish I had documented this)
  • LED Guage lights
  • Fixing my guages so they all work (there was a fire under the dash from my uncle who was the previous owner)
  • Lift Kit install

The last project I completed was to paint my hood black. I started with flat and that got really streaky but then I used semi gloss and it was much better. It was with rattle cans though so I guess I should expect that a little.

As a 91 owner I am jealous at how clean your's is. I love that chili red paint color. One of my daughters is a total 'helper' as well...always asking when we're gonna start working on something else.

Subbed!

Its always more fun when the kids help out. That's how I learned, helping out my old man build jeeps.

Great lookin' jeep. What a great way for you and your daughter to bond as well. What else are you planning on doing?

Wow, nice XJ, definitely very clean for a '91. I try to keep my '91 in good shape as well. I wish my interior looked as nice as yours though!

That Novak cable shift kit looks interesting, my NP242 has always been tricky to shift. I should probably try just adjusting the linkage first but that looks like a nice upgrade.

Everything looks great except how you cut the flares. I don't like that. Other than that... Looks good.
