'91 Jeep Cherokee Beginner
 

Hey, guys! I'm new to this forum and Jeeps. I'm sixteen, and I just recently bought my first Jeep. ('91 Cherokee XJ two-door) So far I'm loving it. But I'm a Jeep Beginner. I've always loved them(the look, the versatility, the offroading, etc.), but i've never taken any time to read on them so i pretty much don't know anything. But what I wanted to ask was: 1) Where do I begin in learning about Jeeps? and 2) I'm getting a paint job for my Jeep soon, and I'd like to know what color you guys would think. I have an option for steel or black rims, and I honestly don't have a color preference. I want something kind of "noticeable", but not too drastic. Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to learning more from you all.

A good way to learn about the Jeep is to start with some suspension modifications and try some hands-on installation; it's a good way to get under your Jeep and really take it apart and learn what's under there. You can normally find how-to guides from the companies that supply the lift and it's a good way to start learning the mechanics. Once you do that, you'll learn a lot by mouth as you talk with a lot of the guys here.

Personally my favorite two colors for a Jeep Cherokee are gunmetal pearl (like mine), or military green. As for wheels, a set of black Cragars will go really nicely with any Jeep.

Gunmetal pearl looks sweet! As for the modifications; I guess I'll go for it. There's a first time for everything.
