90 Jeep Cherokee - How big and best way to build her?
 

Hey All..

I bought a 2door, 1990 Jeep Cherokee, straight 6, 5 speed standard, think its a 4L?... I picked her up for $500, and she runs great. I think shes still running on her stock suspension, shes a LOW rider right now.

But the reason I am here is for advice..

I want a capable wheeling/hunting/camping rig. It must be reasonably comfortable for the highway, but able to get up quad trails. I want to take her up tough trails. I have another DD, she will be my weekend rig. I am not sure where to start with her, how big should I go?
What size of tires should I run?
Best body protection?
and the girl in me wants to redo the interior, where can I find replacement seats, headliner, tinted glass, ect....

well u cant go wrong with a 3 inch lift and some 31s u dont have to change much other then springs abd still keep the same ride and not hurt power or gas milage thats what i started mine out and it did great on the road and in the woods

oh yea and for all ur accesories and protection u cant go wrong with ebay ive perrty much built my jeep off there just type in what ur lookin for and the year of ur jeep and everything will pop up

Thanks for the advice, I know I want to totally do her right!!! maybe just a lift and tires for this year. But I know I want to do axel swaps, gearing, fully body protection, full interior restore, maybe drop a diesel in her... If you could do anything you wanted what tire size would you run and why?

right now im running 35 on mine with a 4.5 in lift im in the process of putting a 8 in lift on it now and probly gona go to up to a 37. if i had the money id put one tone dana 60s under it and run 40s or 42s with a four link set up in the rear with coul overs and a long arm kit up front and my dream has been to drop a 350 in for the motor but im settling for a 4.0 stroker witch will be around a 4.6 when im done it will be plenty after re gearing.
And in the protection area im staring on a full exo cage so that ill get the protection of a roll cage and also not damage my body to bad in a roll over
