Finally ran today. Ran for about 30 seconds on the gas I poured into the intake. Some reason after I fixed the leak at the quick connect on the fuel rail injector number 1 decided to spray during cranking.

Drained orange gas from the tank, filled it up and got it to start on its own and run for more then 30 seconds. Took it on its first drive in years and it drives very well. Might need a power steering pump but I will find out after topping it off with fluid. Ac works too! Trans shifts smooth for a first time standard driver. Surprisingly no smoke from exhaust. Had some blow by at first but its gone away. It purrs like a kitten. Only thing I bet the computer is not happy about is no egr. Just have the vacuum lines caped of. Just the vacuum to the body and brake booster is hooked up.

Got the vacuum lines hooked up and the factory air box in. Filled her up and the fuel pump quit on me. After 3 hours after dropping the tank and draining the gas the fuel pump is replaced and its running again but now its missing on a cylinder. Gonna pull the plugs tomorrow and get everything I need to pass smog. It will pass with the miss fixed but it won't pass visual without a heat riser tube.

Drove her today since I got her insured. Cheaper then the Cherokee. Runs better by the mile. Need to put the thermostat in tomorrow and drain half the water and put antifreeze in. Then smog it Monday morning and get a windshield put in it. Gotta get a new back window. I want to get a one piece for it. I don't like opening back windows.

Update: got almost 200 miles on new head and gaskets. Gonna change the oil and torque everything again. Then get the front end done to get rid of death wobble. I need to fix my reverse lights. Is it common in Comanches to have no reverse lights. My buddy's 90 also has no reverse lights and his is an aw4. Mines a ax5 and I have no reverse lights

Changed oil. Sure has quitted down the ticks. Ran out of gas again. I seriously need to drop my tank and make sure the fuel pump is sitting properly in the tank.

Did a mileage check. Got 100 miles out of 20 bucks of gas which is roughly 5 gallons. Truck is getting around 20 mpg which is not bad for how hard I've been running it. Renix 4.0s are tough motors.

Blew the steering stabilizer and almost got her stuck in a mud puddle. A jeep that can't get itself out of a mud puddle is not a jeep. I am proud to call my truck a jeep.

Just a little update, been traveling with the manche. Does quite well on the crappy country roads we got around here. I need to fix the blower issue melting fuses. Can't use the ac on low without it melting the fuse. Gonna work on that issue tomorrow. These hot humid central California summers ac is a must to have. Been driving the Cherokee around town cause its ac works on high and I can haul people around.

Got the blower fuse issue fixed. Got her stuck last night. Got high centered. Might of made it if she was 4wd but that's not finished. Someday.
