Took a drive to the local state park, Cape Henolopin State Park in DE. So far I can't tell much of a difference with the 33s over the 31s on the road.

looks good on 33s. 33x10 still my favorite tire size for an xj.

Got the vibes fixed yet?

So, no noticeable difference handling wise on the street?

Brakes are worse, but then again they were never great in comparison to my f150. I got it up to 60 and it did have to downshift up a hill, but around town so far it's been great. When the time comes to go to Rausch i'll probably rent a dolly to tow it.
Most guys with the renix era xj/mjs swap to the double brake booster for more braking bite... When I had 33s on my 98 my stock brakes braked at will...now 35s....different animal... Slow braking and hope I didn't have to emergency brake at high speeds... 1st day I had the 35s I was an inch away from slamming into a Mercedes s550 |

Do you still have the original booster?

I still have the original booster, I should look into swapping it out soon. Still need to check out the closest JY from me as there aren't many in DE or by me. "Slow braking and hope I didn't have to emergency brake at high speeds..." this stood out to me because I know the feeling.

Took the Jeep down to OC, did great. Brakes are much better as I get used to it, i can stop real quick once I press past the first half of the brake travel, just not as fast with 31s. It was nice to test it out on the 45 minute drive compared to 20 to the local state park. Vibes are almost numb to me at this point, with the window down and music I can't really tell other than just thinking it's an old jeep.

Drove north today to another beach, mostly for the fun of the drive. Found a new favorite road to drive on that had bodies of water on both sides of the road just a few inches, must be fun/dangerous when it rains a lot.

Sure does look good. I like that you were able to keep the wheels.

I like it more than the pocket style cutout flares. Might be aiming to copy what you've done. Thank you for the direction
