in the pic it has an unbranded 2" lift (spacers and shackles) but the shackles are greasable! lol

so a few days into owning it i decided i wanted the jeep to be different than all the others in my town so i tinted the rear windows %5 and am waiting to do the front till i get new weather stripping and also bought 10 or so cans of olive drab

Attachment 346772

then yesterday i got the front lifted ( not sure the amount im guessing about 3 an a half or so using tbird coils i got the medium hardness off the v8. just had to drill out the tbird topp plate to 2.5 inches with the mag drill and it all fit right up and even used the stock retainer clips. cost 30 bucks time 3 hours

more pics soon

any suggestions for shocks? i want somethin cheap for now.

unidentifiedbomb 03-25-2013 07:48 PM

Nice build and JK shocks are good for 2-3"s of lift just need some modding but are cheap

OD2DR87 03-25-2013 11:52 PM

Yeah thats what I heard but I want shocks for a 6" lift because I also have 2in spacers that I want to put on as soon as I can

unidentifiedbomb 03-26-2013 10:18 AM

Oh then i'm not sure, I have rusty's shocks and love them but I've heard that RC shocks at least their cheap ones that come with the lift kits are horribly rough

Did you sand it at all first? I'm gonna try it.

OD2DR87 03-27-2013 11:20 PM

yeah wash it real good then sand it till all the scratches are gone and theres no gloss left. it has to be atleast sanded till its all "flat" then spray away
