'Into The Gray' '87 XJ
 

New to CF! I just picked up my '87 XJ on 08-29-2012 with 61k original miles on it working on a self paid college budget so itll be slow but shell be a beauty! Sorry for all the dark cell phone pics, ill have my camera next week

all the chrome on the front was ugly so i pulled the grill and bezels painted them flat black and bedliner-ed the bumper

the old lift struts didnt work AT ALL so i got these off amazon

they are SUPER strong. deffinately recomend.

painted the two stupid chrome strips above and below the grille, black. and also painted the mirrors black. starting to look better without all the chrome :yes:

looks good man! very good mileage! The black is way better, i dislike chrome as-well!

thanks man, yea an older guy had it and he barely drove it but he died in 2004, its been sitting since then. but ima go with the blue and black theme on it :cheers:

Got some free time today so i sanded(by hand) my hood and ornament panel and primered it.. got dust from sanding EVERYWHERE!... Attachment 361527

Looks much better with black, should accent the wheels with some black maybe in the pockets or spokes with plasti dip

yea im going to repaint the whole car. im thinking a semi gloss or flat midnight blue. i just sanded and primered the roof ill put the pics up when the racks back on

im planning on either painting those black or bedlining them :thumbup: at least until i can get some new rims, either way theyre gonna be black

yup i got a steal, gives me plenty of years to build and play with it :icon_smile:
