This is my Build thread. Really been enjoying the site. Doing lots of reading and even learning a thing or two...:oops:

Here it is bone stock from the previous owner.

Drivers Seat
 

The original seat was a broke up pretty bad.:cursing: Wanted to fix it but didn't wanna lose out on my pristine interior.:head: Off to the junkyard. Stripped out a front seat from an older 2dr XJ.

now I got a seat that tilts forward and I still have matching front seats. The interior is old but has no rips or tares. Plus I dig the black tartan style pattern.

Shifter Knob
 

The original was actually falling off. Completely oxidized on the inside. Saved by the autozone special.:cheers:

Tires and Rims...
 

Got a couple sweet deals off of Local Buy, Sell and trade site.
Rims. 15x10 3.75 Backspacing

Tires 31x10.5x15

Little miscalculation on how wide these suckers would sit but all good.

Bodywork...
 

Wanted to get er cleaned up and painted. Done on the cheap. After looking at alot of builds and paint I decided I really liked the Desert Camo look. Also like the trimmed fenders.
Time to strip er down.

Prep and trim...
 

Cleaned. Degreased. Trimmed. Welded supports back in.

Filler
 

Some body filler. The body was surprisingly solid. Minimal surface rust.

Grill and Header...
 

I sprayed the grill and pulled the sagging header out. Threw away the material and sprayed the foam header to go right back in.

Primed.
 

Coat of Epoxy almost made me wanna keep it black.

Paint...
 

I way cheaped out and used Exterior house paint. Was way to thick to go through the gun (Like molasses) Diluted it 1-1 with hot water.

Painted...
 

Don't wanna mislead anyone. My Dad did the bodywork and the painting. I busted *** on it but I just don't have his skills.

Finished and tires mounted.

Little wider then expected.
