Default Icecold project

Hi there guys, just got my first XJ (have wanted one for 4 years)
its a 1990 4.0-HO limited with a 4speed auto
it has around 3inches of lift and some 33x12.5r15's
D30 up front and D35 at the back with some sort of LSD (anybody know if thatīs oem ?
it has some tint, light bar, driving lights,
the A/C compressor has been converted to an air compressor
and it has a 2,5" side exhaust with open style mufflers
also has this weird electrical problem where i can hear a relay under the dash clicking as it where mad and the interior lights and taillights flash

on the plan
38" tires on 14" wide wheels
new fender flares to cover the 38"s
Regearing
do something about the cooling system
Roofrack would be nice
figuring out why the electric seats don't work
repairing the little rust that there is

hope you guys like it

first trip with a friends 35" Suzuki rustbucket

5psi in the 33" =

ridiculously comfortable seats =

more later

care to explain how you converted the a/c compressor to become a air compressor and how well does it work, i think i would be a sweet deal if i could do that to my jeep so i can fill up a tank for some pnuematic tools and airhorns,

basically how i did mine was get the refrigerant evacuated (already done when i got my jeep lol), then get rid of the ac lines, receiver drier etc. you need an intake line and an exhaust line, the exhaust line will go to a storage tank with a pressure switch in it. the intake line needs a filter and some sort of oiler set up bc the refrigerent contains the compressor oil. then you wire it up so that when the pressure in the tank drops the pressure switch closes and activates a relay that gives 12 volts to the compressor clutch. that is just a basic idea, there are lots of writeups out there if you google it. my setup worked pretty well. i never used it much. I certainly wouldnt turn a perfectly good working ac system into a compressor, but mine was missing everthing but the compressor so thats why i did it. I got a tank from napa just an airtank from a semi trailer, fittings from lowes, harbofreight airline oiler. pretty basic easy setup

it pumps a 33" from 3psi to 30psi in about 30seconds
basicly everything from the A/C system has been removed exept the compressor, then on the intake side it has an oil glass like you would find on any shop compressor (this is important, if it gets no lubrication it will overheat and fail) on the out side it just has a quick connection for the hose tu pump up the tires.
then there is just a simple switch mounted in the engine bay to turn the compressor on.
i could take some pics and post them.

So you're gonna run 38s on a d30 and d35 eh?

You've got some beautiful places to have fun over there, i'm jealous! I like the jeep man, i wish i had those seats.

well, the D30 is going to stay but the rear end will be a d44 with an arb locker
although i think i will be strengthening the d30 somewhat.

got the build sheet for the jeep today, there are some weird things on there
