I don't have any pics of them inside the engine compartment. But they fit in the exact place the cast iron manifolds did. They are very tight though. When Advance Adapters did their motor mounts, they used the 3.8L cast headers to make it all fit better.

my buddy toyed with the idea of putting a 4.3 out of his wrecked s-10 blazer into a rolling 2-door xj, i doubt he would have done anything that woulda stood a feather against yours though!

Yea it looks like if I flip mine back over they will hit the motor mounts but I maybe wrong the headers on my are homemade and not to sure about the motor mounts if they are home made...guess I need to start posting pics and make a build thread

Best you will get here is a horsepower increase to 300+ when I can afford it. Rear seal is starting to leak, so that might not be far off.

What mods are you planning? They respond really well to bolt-ons and a cam.

Custom grind cam with LS specs and 99/00 heads with 2.02 intakes in it. That will bring it up to 300 hp. Then there are my exhaust mods etc.

Not saying to buy his, but I'm sure you can find them cheap and they're really strong.

Yes, I thought it over before doing my swap. If all you are looking for is horsepower, then yes that makes sense. But .... there are other things I took into consideration. The first is fuel economy. I drive this Jeep daily, especially now since the turbo in my Subaru broke. I wanted six cylinder economy on the road. The second is weight. The V6 weighs less than the 4.0 and the LS motors, unless you get into aluminum blocks. But to do that in CA, I would need to update everything including the dash and air bags to that of a Vette due to CA smog laws. This was bad enough, but doable. I chose this vintage of 4.3 because it has the most hp without going to a crank sensor. You guys with 4.0s know all about that. Chevy doesn't do much better with theirs. I understand they don't like water at all. The last consideration is length. Right now I have a nice 3" tube that goes to an air box set up for a snorkel. You cannot do that with the V8s. About all anyone does is hang a filter sucking warm air on the front of them because there is not enough room for anything else.

This is a great build, if I didn't fall in love with straight 6's id be extremely jealous haha. Although I am curious as to what the rest of the jeep actually looks like?

I'd have to get the dimensions for you, but they are very nice motors.
