2002 Overland war!
 

Ok guys there is a thread on this forum were someone lifted a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. I can't find it however so hopefully you can help me out here.
Obviously I have a 2002 GC Overland. It does not have the upcountry springs. I have been trying to figure out a lift for 1 and half years now and got no where but daystar 2 inch spacers.
I have seen pictures of 02 GC Overlands lifted and I WANT MINE LIFTED! I don't want these spacers. What do I need to do?

Well I have an 01, and it's a Laredo instead of an Overland...but for all intents and purposes, the suspensions are the same. I went with the OME 3" lift kit and supplemented it with the Iron Rock Offroad adjustable track bar and sway bar links and some Bilstein 5100 shocks. It rides great, works great offroad, and didn't require much else to work. I did replace the coil spring isolators because at 170k miles they were pretty worn out, and I also added the IRO coil spring retainer towers to keep the coils from falling out of the buckets when flexed offroad.

It rides like a dream and honestly should have come from the factory this way. I'm currently running some JK Rubicon take-offs, both wheels and tires. The 32" tires required me to trim a little of the bumper endcaps in the front to keep them from rubbing. I also added some synergy 1.25" spacers to keep the wider rubbers off the lower control arms when turned to lock.

That is the perfect height in which I am looking for! The thing Im running into is because of the "AWD" it is not found in any search for lifts. I went to a couple different 4x4 shops and they said cv could bind and when I called BDS Suspensions they said something about the transfer case and also that it will be at like a 3 1/2 inch lift in front and 4 inch in back because the 4.l V8 is too heavy. (I'm not that good at vehicles to understand a lot I just know how to take things off and put things back on.)

Is 4 inches too high for a AWD 02 Grand Cherokee overland?
