Wheels and Tires
Wheels and tires will be for sale next week Local pick up only have about 3000 miles on them 1 year old.
Thanks for the support.
Dude it's so shiny!
Only one mild trail ride Im selling tires and did not want to mess them up. Next week 6.5 lift new rims General Grabber tires 33x12.50x15
Is that the original paint? Mine has never trailed yet, but I have 13 year old bug splats all over the place.
Orignal Paint. Im third owner original owner never off roaded second owner did lift and tires one camping trip. Of course I paid top dollar.
I paid top dollar for mine too, about $6000 when I finally came across it. Mine had one owner and now I'm the second.
I like your Cherokee man; makes me want to have mine re-painted lol. You can see what I'm talking about: http://i48.tinypic.com/ff0qgw.jpg |
Do your tires rub anywhere? I paid 6800 guy wouldn't budge I think he paid 6000 then did lift tires wheels and rack. I looked at others but the were all cut up or rusted or severe leaks. Mine does leak a little rear main seal thats on my list after a while I make sure i park in same spot on driveway all the time
Yeah they rub a little bit, I have plans to try and modify my stock fender flares so I can keep the 'stock look' while having the aggressive look of the lift. The rubbing is only on the front when you steer, so I should be able to clip the fenders like this:

Reds I saw a lot of them for sale around here I have aways been a white car guy I do like your blue though i would say my picks for color would be white then a tie with your blue or the grey
Blue, gray, and black hold my favorite colors. :) A friend of mine just bought a white one that is the same year as mine. Two of my friends have red ones and one has a black one. The red sure are popular!
Besides the forum here I haven't meet up with any other jeepers yet. I am kinda waiting till i get it trail ready to meet some locals here and try it out.
It was some local Jeep friends of mine that made me get one of these things. Best thing I ever did; I love this thing!
Your builds off to a good start. I've got a 2000 same color! 33 shouldn't rub body at 6.5" but you would want to hammer over the pinch seam in the front fender/ firewall and maybe trim the front bumper which may rub when turning/ flexing.
Im driving mine all over my truck is sitting which is good i have towed hard with it and need it to last another 6 years. Sucks i don't have sat radio in jeep or good sound system like i have in my truck.
If you want a cheap sound system, I went with a Klipsch Promedia computer speaker set (subwoofer included) and I hooked it up with a power inverter. You're under $200 with that setup and it sounds nice.
200 a lot right now just bought 6.5 la BDS tires rims cb some electrical aj front winch bumper steering box plate still need gears lockers rock sliders gas tank skid and rear bumper. Sounds are a long way off for me LOL
Yeah I'm still paying off my lift kit parts, myself. Stuck for a little while. My next purchase is the Rough Country front bumper with the stinger bar and a winch on that.
should be in UPS's hands right now I got the AJ slick rock winch bumper and as they were building sent photos so i could adjust where the pre runner bar angles fell.
What roof rack do you have and how do you have it connected to the roof?
I think it is Garvin wilderness just sitting on stock rails with ubolts to stock brackets thats the way it came i don't like the mounting, been looking at brackets like 85 bucks not high on my list right now.

CHASDB looks like your right next door to me do you go out to local trails and san beradino area?
U bolts sound clean. My buddy drilled right into his stock brackets. They hold a lot of weight.
the u bolts look like they came with it the way it sits on rails feels real sturdy. i may need to lower it for clearance to get into my trailer after the lift and tires.
Are you going to store your spare tire up there when you run 33s?
Depends after my lift with my toyhaler height for spare on top and length if I get a carrier that's why I haven't bought a rear bumper yet. I want to put on roof and have clean back end without obstructing view and have to always unhook to get in. I have heard about higher center gravity and more wind resistance worse mileage on the roof
I think the rear tire carrier looks the cleanest, but I feel the same way about the view obstruction. Right now I don't even have a spare haha.
I think I have original that's what 11 years old I bought spare with my 33's
Which carrier I want strong and looks I like jcr and detours
