Default 2001 XJ Long Arm Build

Hey guys, I've been lurking around on here for some time now and decided I'd like to do a long arm instead of initially wanting a 4.5" RC lift. Do it right the first time and be done right ha...yeah I know we're never done.
Anyways picked this up in November after we sold the wife's 99 with 267k and lots of rust.
Its a 2001 4.0 auto, 4x4, np231 D30 LP and D35. 163K runs 25-30psi at idle and 45-50 running around. Has 160-165psi compression on all six.
Things I've done so far:
Clearwater Head
New waterpump and hoses
New Battery
New coil pack
New TPS, Camshaft and crankshaft sensors
New engine temp control sensor
New battery
New wipers

I picked up a HP 30 and 8.25 and plan on getting 4.56s and doing a 5.5" Rubicon express long arm kit.

Not much to report at this point. Slowly gathering parts for rebuilding my axles. I have rotors, pads, hub assemblies and calipers. Tomorrow I'll order balljoints, u joints and brown dog motor mounts.
Can't decide if I want to go with 4.56 or 4.88 gears. I will be running 33x10.50s and looking at a Clayton 6.5" long arm. This weekend I'll be putting in the new CPS.
I also snagged a OHC and will be redoing my headliner once I get a few days off.
Does any one have tips to gettin the old UCA bushing out of the D30 ? I do not have any air tools like a air hammer/chisel.....

nice start! as for the UCS bushings, hadn't done it, let me know how it goes (i would suggest harbor freight for an electronic hammer drill, or an impact wrench with a ball joint remover kit from o'reileys)

Pics of the day I bought it...

Have all the parts here to rebuild my axles except for the 4.56 gears. Been checking around to get prices on installs into empty housings. Also ordered a center console bracket from a member on here. My OHC came in and just picked up a woodgrain dash bezel on here as well. Start rebuilding the axles soon while saving for the lift. Going slow but doing it right!

Nice start to your build. Good Looking Jeep. I've got a 01 as well so if you have any questions or want to bounce some ideas off someone let me know.

Thanks, will do. Slowly gathering parts and saving, we are in the market for a house as well so that gets first priority: )

Didn't want to put more money into these axles since I'm building others but it's a slow build, so new front and rear brakes....
