Funny thing is the first part I got for my black XJ when I got it was an alternator from auto zone, and when I hooked my jeep up to the jump box to start it the other day it fired right up, not that I had any doubts it wouldn't, the alternator decided it didn't want to turn with the engine or the other drive belt accessories, so after a high pitch squealing and the snapping of my serpentine belt, I took a drive over to auto zone with said lifetime replacement alternator and original box with receipt from way back for a replacement, they should know better then to offer lifetime warranties on parts with people that own XJs !

empty headlight holes can only mean one thing !

Helped a friend dig a shallow grave in the dead of the night for some reason and he gave me a sweet pair of headlights he had in his JK !

I went the easy route on my silver XJ and used headlight and bezels out of a wrangle, this time I'm making brackets from scratch, more to come on that build !

One major enough thing about my jeep that almost stopped me from buying it was the aftermarket ASC sunroof that by the looks of it was a dealer add on, at first glance it looked like a fairly clean install until it started leaking, rattling and making the poor rusted roof jiggle from every bump in the road as one of the cross braces was cut completely out the fit the sunroof, so I had enough and hatched what I was figuring would be simple plan to weld up the hole and be done with it, but then again I liked having it open at night and for an emergency escape hatch if need be, so I'm keeping the hole and the glass and making what would have been an easy fix into an event that's taking forever to finish, to bad I didn't take pics of the crudely cut hole in my roof before I started, I just had to get started right away after removing that monstrosity called a power sunroof, couldn't take the sight of the hole the way it was, what a butchered up mess !

Kind of been busy and haven't updated in a while but little at a time I'm getting the old girl closer to paved roads, sucks when you have 5 different projects going on at once, seems like nothing ever gets competed !

Most of my body work is half way done so I got started on my headlights which I may have gone a bit overboard making but its mostly done, few adjustments left but turned out just the way I planned,

Had no choice but to make a indestructible 12g wire headlight harness, tedious work but it was worth it, the stock harness is pretty pathetic with just testing the new lights, they were probably dimmer the the ****y stock lights, I'll post my diagram I made but I had trouble following it myself

These work surprisingly well for the sway bar disconnects
