2001 Solar Yellow for my Princess Xmas Morning

We built a YJ for her brother
She wanted A yellow one!
We did not want two Wranglers
bought it wrecked.

A lot of eletrical issues!!!!
 

Parking/side marker lights not working drivers side. Still popping the fuse!

I thought for sure it was where it was wrecked. Replace tail light harness.

After I took a whole bunch more trim off, turns out it was where all the wiring goes into the lift gate. PO must have cut the boot and butt spliced almost every one right there (A very Crappy Job of it also) lucky it did not catch on fire.

A better Splice!
 

I picked some wire, Heat shrink/solder butt splices and stainless wire sleeve from McMaster

Marked everything very carefully with Scotch wire marker.

Cut it back to make connections in truck and lift gate, with new wires in sleeve/rubber boot

All ready to reassemble
 

No more short!

All back together!
 

Also did a lot more cleaning.
replace a lot of the trim screws
took apart console storage and cleaned reassembled
replace courtesy lamps ( I wonder which blue LED's would fit?)
Front speakers do not work ( looks like the wires are good)Head in unit?

Need to make a huge red bow!
 

It goes to detail shop on Monday morning
And then hide it in my Bil's garage until she goes to sleep.
Sneak it home late Xmas eve
