I did like the benefits of the 4.5" lift and will probably go that route again once I no longer use the XJ for long distance commuting. With that being said, I will NOT use a Rough Country lift again. The only real issues I had with the 4.5" were vibration (recommend the SYE upgrade) and some good thumps/knocks from the rear shocks (recommend the bar-pin eliminator upgrade).
Here's another shot showing the 4.5" lift.

So as with any new (used) vehicle, one must work out the kinks. I really enjoyed being out in the mountains (yes, I know I LIVE in the mountains but this was at an even more remote location) and having the XJ not want to crank. I checked every bloody thing I could find with no luck so off on a flatbed to the dealership (thanks USAA).
Luckily the chief mechanic at the local dealership is awesome and he had the culprit (a faulty crank sensor) fixed in no time. Picked the XJ up and brought her home.

Great job on the sweet looking XJ and nicely written build thread.
Keep us posted on any further upgrades.
PS: Go with the Krylon Fusion next time you want to do your trim and bumper end caps. It'll be worth the your time.
