Pretty awesome to see the livability play out like this. Can't invest the time and money into a custom setup like this without being able to maintain it.

Sure nice to be able to drop the engine/trans in as an assembly.

I've done engine and trans as an assembly, but I have always taken the grill off and radiator out. I'm still messing with 4.0s though. It's much nicer putting the drivetrain together out of the vehicle.

Very sweet. Love this!

Its been back on the road for the last two weeks and what a difference. The AX15 is so much tighter and QUIET!!
Not embarrassed to sit at a light with it in neutral anymore.
That "can of marbles" NV3550 may be fine behind a relatively smooth gas engine but horrible behind a little diesel.
Adding the 40lb flywheel also helped smooth things out and definitely helped with low end power.

I spent most of last winter stripping and detailing my Dakota Diesel and sold it a month ago. Here is a little video.
Have a new truck under construction to replace it. https://www.ramforum.com/threads/ram...-build.160780/
We bought an EV for a new DD and so this winter it will be the XJ's turn to get a tidy up and sell it in the spring. Trying to lessen the quantity of vehicles and insurance.

Please PM me when you get around to selling your XJ

Thanks Joshua, I don't think I can sell it into the US. The US has very strict rules about importing modified vehicles under 25 years old.
I looked into it a lot when I wanted to sell my Dakota, no way to meet the emissions requirements.
Even the safety requirements would be a problem with the aftermarket bumpers.

This is frustrating, the same exact XJ can be bought and sold within the states all day no problem :-/

The 6 pin jack at the top is to connect to the "engine" harness.
This has worked out really well and made routing the harnesses much easier since I'm dealing with two small harnesses rather than one large one.
I should say that I don't have to meet any smog testing so the EGR, O2 and some other sensors have been removed which made the harnesses easier.

what wires did you all use from the chassis harness?
