2000 High School DD Project

In March I sold my Honda to buy an XJ.

When I got my Cherokee the first thing I did was replace the front two door speakers and the rear speakers with alpine type s 5 1/4 in. and a JVC head unit.

Here is a pic stock wheeling in a local feild we go to. Note: somehow i tore the flare off, and noticed it when i got home, so i went back to get it, luckily i found it un harmed.

Green Ridge is an 18 mile off road loop trail. its had a lot of nice views up in the mountains and was a great place to camp even though the trail was not overly difficult.

Then i installed my soundstorm 1600 watt amp and my two 12" audiobahn subs.

I found a guy on craigslist with a set of 30x9.5/15 bfg radial mud terrains for 300 bucks. I talked him down to $275. they had a decent amount of tread on them, i am very happy. (even thogh they rub a little). I have them mounted on 15x8 rockcrawlers w/ 3.75" BS. I like how they stick out from the fender a little and gives me a wider stance.

After that i striped off the side moldings and baught the spray on bedliner from wal mart for 7 bucks.

And here is a pic of how it sits now.

Nice job so far except for the speakers... What are your future plans for it.

00XJsport 09-09-2008 11:16 AM

except for the speakers...

whats wrong with the speakers i think they sound great...do you mean the actual speakers or the subs???

i want to do a RE BB in the next two weeks, and then add an AAL and ZJ V8 coils for a three inch lift down the road or replace the packs with ome medium and use ZJ V8 coils as well...

redkling 09-09-2008 11:21 AM

I think he means that fact that they go boom boom, not really neccesary for a jeep

REWSTER 09-09-2008 11:22 AM

yeah but i like my music loud i had to upgrade. plus the subs and amp came with my old car, so that was free, and the stock speakers sounded like garbage.

smart move on selling that honda
haha yeah my dad picked it out for my 16th birthday and suprised me with it. i had no say in whether i liked it or not, didnt even check it out in person, the first time i saw it was when it was sitting in the garage for my birthday haha. but that thing held up good, i beat the hell outta that thing and never had a single problem

elnino 09-09-2008 03:18 PM

It's not necessary for any car. It's necessary for someone who likes listening to music with high quality sound.
