So 19 April I am sitting at work and get a wild hair up my butt to ask one of my bosses if he is still selling his 2000 WJ, he of course says; yes I am if you want it, it is yours for 1500 bills. At this point I am ecstatic but not sure how to get the wife to let me buy it due to the at least 1500 dollar price tag to ship it back to the states from here in England due to me shipping a vehicle on my orders already. I decide I will just see if i can sell my subaru and worse case scenario I have extra money. Surprisingly I found a buyer for my subaru within in about 30 mins. Went home told the wife about the deal she said sell your car and buy it. So monday this week i sold my subaru and picked up this little beasty!

It is a 2000 Jeep GC WJ with 205,000 miles on her...i know right... it has a 3.5" old man emu lift on it with 265/70/16 tires on it. it rides pretty good and surprisingly the motor is still very powerful for having so many miles. But she is not without her issues.

First plans are to put some Black Rock dune wheels on it in a 16x8 with 5.0" backspacing to stop the rubbing on the lower control arms, but that will come after the upcoming trip to the sand box!

This build is gonna be slow as I learn the WJ and what its capabilities are, and where to find the best aftermarket parts..that seems to be a hard thing to come by. They are there but not what I am really looking for! if anyone knows of some places please let me know!

And of course you must have your build sheet in your build thread...I mean come on who doesn't want to know how their jeep started life!!

Hey man! Hows the WJ coming along? and are you still in England?

ya still in england WJ has new wheels and tires thats about it. Wife doesn't want to bring it back to the states so its kind of hard to justify spending money on it.

for backspacing on the rims you might want to go with 4" backspacing
