Default 2000 Cherokee XJ DD (Lots of photos)

Well it was time for me to get my first car. I had originally wanted a Wrangler very badly, but due to the high risk of roll-over, I was denied. So I went with the Cherokee, and a do say I don't regret it at all! I love this thing, i haven't wheeled it much, but it handles very well.

Anyhow, back to the build.

I haven't done much so far. But...

This is the first night I got it, November 29th

Here is another picture a few days later

Then of course, me being a Magpul fan i put a 12" sticker in my window

I needed some temporary tires because the cheapo A/T that came on it were really bad. I went with 225 Kuhmo A/T, because they were highly rated and not too expensive, since they would only get about 10,000 miles before I replaced them.

Before they went on.

I have to say I like them a lot they have done very well on dry, wet, and snow covered roads. I haven't had a single problem with them yet. Though they only have a 1000 miles on them so we will see.

My XJ rests at this point with a lot of plans in the works.

This next weekend I will be knocking off the front trim to the bumper, maybe even the fenders.

Installing some leather ZJ seats (equipped with heat)

You can see the rear seat in pieces behind the two front ones.

I also will be ordering a sound system within a few weeks. i just have to wait for Kicker L7's to get back in stock.

Plans for the future(Other than sounds system)
3.5" RE Super-Flex
31" Pro Comp A/T
Pro Comp 98 series wheels
Rusty's Stinger
Might fab myself a rear bumper with a couple of recovery points
Roof rack with spare tire mount
Hella fog lights on Roof rack
Hella 500's on stinger
Rock Sliders and skids

That's all I have for now. If you have questions feel free to ask!

I'll get some pictures up of what I do next weekend.

Hell yeah another white cherokee!! Was gonna ask if it is a 4x4 but it looks like someone debadged the whole thing. You need some Jeep decals on your list too. Haha its an awesome platform for a good build.

It is 4X4, it was repainted before I bought it, and the removed all of the decals. I guess they were too lazy to put it back on.

I do want a 4x4 badge, a trail rated badge,a and a Cherokee badge for the rear. Guess I have to hit the JY.

Can anyone tell me where the wires to the heated part of the seat is? I can't seem to figure out which one it is.

Got some more work done today.

Put in the front ZJ seats

out with the old...

In with the new!

Dayna sitting in the back too lol.

Also did a little work with the front bumper, I didn't like the plastic trim on the sides, but didn't like the sharp edges when I took them completely off. So Me and my buddy cut them to cap off the edges... I like it.

with them off altogether.

My buddy at work with the dremel.

Newly trimmed bumpers after a quick wash!

And of course got one of my two Cherokee stickers on.

Holy cow! I almost forgot I even had a build thread!

Well I went wheeling stock, and I do have to say, I kept it somewhat mild, but this bad boy walked over everything I asked it to.

I did order a sound system! I'm a sucker for sound and that's what I wanted first. It'll be going in on Saturday.

Kicker 12" L7
Pioneer 6.5" speakers (front doors)
Pioneer 5.25" speakers (rear sound bar)
Pioneer 800W 4-Channel Amp
Kenwood 1800W Amp (for sub)
Pioneer head unit- nothin' fancy, just something to hook my iPod up to that glows red.

And here are a few pictures of my Jeep off road. I may have some video up here soon as well.

(Yes I see the drawing on the front... the kid in back is responsible...)

I know in almost all of my pictures I have a muddy Jeep with clean tires... Well here is some proof that they do get muddy

I was at 7 bridges. I doubt he will be going there though. I live in Pittsburgh which is right next to Ohio. Probably an 6-8 hour drive for him.

Ok well I finished a while ago but forgot to upload pictures of the speakers and sub in there.

The speakers upfront are 6.5" and the rear ones are 5.25" and the sub is 12"

My next objective is tow hooks front and rear (Yes I know I wheeled without them, sue me, I knew I needed them)
Some recovery equipment
Front Differential Skid plate
And TOOLS!
