Default 2 Hawaiians xj build

Alright so me and my dad bought a 95 jeep Cherokee/xj as a weekend project truck. It already has a 3 inch lift by tough country and 31 inch tall tires with 15 inch American racing steel rims. We opened the back seat and saw a bunch of amp wires so the previous owner must have had a stereo. Luckly I had an extra amp and two 10 inch subs. I have already installed the amp the subs should be going in this weekend. pretty clean truck. Has a little rust and some minor cosmetic damage. The engine is a strait six 4.0. It may need a over haul or some thing cause there is a clicking noise. But its a manual trans. Hope to have a centerforce clutch in the next couple of weeks.

Sweet XJ man. I look forward to seeing future updates. I loved Hawaii when I visited there. Would have been cooler to see it from an XJ's perspective. If you know what I mean.

Sounds like the speedo gear is slipping. That or the gauge is screwed up internally.

Alright so for the clicking noise we are going to probably going to buy a junk yard engine and rebuild it and swap them. We think it has already been rebuilt cause it has a lot of power but it has the clicking noises so we think they didn't do it right. Then we tried to install the subs today but we think the monster cable is messed up some where because the amp isn't getting power but we think we found it cause that fuse thing on the cable isn't staying locked into it. Just a update.

So I'm going to the pic a part this morning and hopefully get some miscellaneous stuff like a new shifter **** (original one fell off) skews for various parts of the interior and the trim piece that attaches to the center consoule and the shifter boot, and hopefully price out an engine. Going to have pics soon.
