Default Testing the pvc booth

I have been slacking of lately mostly because I have young kids that need playtime and also because I can't feed them automotive paint. So when food is on the table and the family is happy, ''THEN'' I can go to the shop and give the XJ all my undivided attention. This weekend I decided to give the booth a try. I stripped the right rear door to bare bones once again totally unnecessary but I have found it very satisfying to re-assemble things when the paint is nice and fresh.

I used fast orange to degresse the door hinges ;worked great.

I left the hinge halves in place that way I dont have to readjust the door alignment. All I have to do is put the new pins. I hope I don't have to hammer them into position.

I was gonna paint the door and trim pieces this weekend but I was running low on reducer and other materials so I'll have to wait on that. Please excuse my very slow progress. The booth performed well, still needs some minor adjustments with the extraction window but all in all im pleased with the results.

I went to the local bone yard and found this grill for 10$. I took the fins off because I dont enjoy washing them and I love the look without them.

Adheasion promoter only works well when used correctly most important thing is to let it dry or else its worthless, ask me how I found out.

That looks good, I can't imagine the amount of time and work it takes to get that done!

Are you going to leave the grill completely open or put some sort of mesh behind it? Curious to see how that turns out either way.

Thanks man I cant wait till it looks as clean as yours. Hopefully next year I start messing with the welder. ABOUT THE GRILL. I've been looking at cars here and there on the street getting ideas. Before I took it apart I had it with no mesh behind the grill. I got used to pressure washing the radiators REALLY easy. I would regularly blk spray paint the radiator fins to keep them from standing out too much. Maybe if I would use it for long highway trips I would probably use a disposable mesh screen to help with rocks and buggs.

Monstaliner! Roll on product that is probably the best out there. Won't fade from UV light either. Not to mention they have a bunch of colors. Definitely look into it.
