No I'm not cool lol...not you but i love watching all those nice lifted jeeps that are all show and never hit the trails. People dump a ton of money into them just for looks. When got the money and its yours to do what you want go for it I just find it funny.

Again I didn't mean this is you I was just teasing ya

It definitely needs to be taken out. I don't care if it gets banged up or abused to an extent. I don't plan on doing any mudding or rock crawling but I would love to hit some trails for sure. Just don't have any wheeling buddies besides my girlfriend. Sad but it's the truth. I need to make some friends. Hopefully at the Jeep Meet in April I can find myself a little group to fit in with.

I don't mind the teasing lol, we all have our own style and approach mine's just more urban crawler at the moment. I have less than a year of college left, then I can start looking for a real job, make more money, get my own place, and well you know the drill. I just turned 21 last week and had my first legal beer. Maybe I can bribe people with free beer to be my friend.

Can't really go wrong with $28 quick disconnects either! I plan on replacing the hardware and the quick pins but the bushings are in great shape.

Dropped the jeep off at my buddy's shop this morning for a water pump and thermostat. New pump, inlet tube, thermostat housing, and coolant temp sensor going on. I did the thermostat a year ago but it has developed a leak since then, and I just can't seem to get it to seal right so i'd rather have a professional do it right the first time. He's my go to for when I can't do it.

Disconnects came in, bushings look brand new. Some surface rust. They have two adjustment holes for 4-6" of lift, and i'm currently at 3" so if I can't make them work in the shortest hole i'll have to shorten the tube down and drill a new hole, which is no problem to me at all.

I might give these to the misses because she's at around 3.5" and it'd fit better on hers, I do already have regular extended links just not disconnect.

More pictures are coming tomorrow when it's fully installed, but here is Nates4x4 roof rack mocked up. It's 7/8" steel, fully welded up and comes with a tire carrier and 6 gutter mounts. Weighs a good 70 pounds.

New water pump, thermostat, thermostat housing, coolant temp sensor, idler pulley, power steering pump pulley, no more coolant leaks and no more squeaks. Just have to do the valve cover gasket and then that should fix my oil leak. Some more poser shots of the new roof rack, i'm loving it so far. I still need to get night time pics of the headlights, I suppose those will be in the next post.
