Thanks. Getting me a roll this evening.
Get a wallpaper roller while you're there. its $1 or so.
In the paint section. 100% helps rolling it on.

188,000 miles.
Replaced the cracked exhaust manifold this past weekend (3 cracks in it) with a new unit.
Also installed new leaf springs in the rear, gained about 3" and the jeep handles so much better on the highway now.

Installed some "lightly used" front OEM springs with only 20k miles on them.
Tightened up the front end, raised it up about .5" inches. Rides and handles much better.

That is a beautiful Jeep, love the white, my 95 ethel is white too. I love the upgrade in the trans cooler, and the inline filter. I was thinking of doing just the splice in hose filter. But I love the neat bracket and can filter set up you have. What is it exactly, where did you find it?
Thanks! Here is the filter mount I used.
I found using a filter from a 2002 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder 2.4L fits best.
I get the WIX XP filter as it will hold up for the 10k miles of ATF use.

Another question for you, I noticed you did go with the smaller trans cooler. Does your Jeep run cooler with less air restriction in front of the radiator?
I forgot the exact temp, but my ATF temp never exceeds 200F which is exactly what I wanted.
Which is all I wanted. Anything around 230-240F and above is were varnish starts to build up.
Oh if you get that filter plate adapter for your ATF line, make sure you hook up the in/out correctly Otherwise it will block 100% of the flow back to the transmission.

Cool, I live in East Tennessee, my Jeep runs about 200, I don't have a overheating problem, just have to factor in the cold. Thanks for the tip about the input, output. When I serviced my trans, I put the wix filter back on it, but had noticed I did not have the 2 magnets in the bottom of my trans pan that most trans have. It's been bothering me ever since, feeling that I need extra filtration.
Changed out the AW4 this weekend with a rebuilt unit, along with a new torque converter.
Was having first gear slippage issues, and the torque converter failed to lockup @ highway speeds.
