I love the build! I have the same lift on a 98 cherokee, but different color. Sure is a lot taller than advertised. Makes me wish I had gotten 33s also. How's your shackle angle? Mines terrible with the 3.5in pack.

Looks great, I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I am not sure what you mean by terrible. My shackles are at 5-6* from 180* (straight down) to the rear when the XJ is sitting flat. I do plan on getting some new greasable shackles since the stock ones make a lot of noise since I put the new packs on. Essentially, the springs slide back and forth inside the shackle. It's just that you have to lift it by 1" or more just to replace shackles unless you get stock replacement. So once I get the rear bumper with the tire mounted I will look and see how much of a lift I need. I am hoping it is going to weigh the rear down enough that the lifted shackels will offset it.

Optimum shackle angle is suppised to be 45 degrees. Or so I'm told, and it will ride much smooth like that. I don't think it makes a huge difference as the stock ride isn't that rough at all unless you hit big bumps.

Latest update:

Added:
JCR Crusader Deluxe rear bumper with tire carrier, 2" receiver and D rings
JCR stage 3 sliders
JCR TC skid
Hella 500 Blackmagic driving lights on front (still need to wire them up)
Took out the carpet and cleaned up the floorboards and sprayed with an insulator and covered with heat shield insulator.

Here is how it looks now:

She probably will not change much for a while. Still got some plans but they are down the road.

Athens et al,

I hate to revive this thread, but I have a 2000 Cherokee with a 3 inch lift...

Will this wheel and tire combo fit for me?

Love this build. This is just the approach I would take.

AZ1441:

It should fit. I have a ton of room in my wheel wells and can probably fit 35's with a bit of rubbing on the inside.
