So after some consideration and looking around I've decided to stick with an 8.25. The rig will never sit bigger then 33's and will be used for camping, ski trips etc. It most likely will not see too much abuse that I'm worried about it. Hit Pick N Pull and scored a 29 spline with 4.10s and got the necessaries from a Libby to disc brake it...
Grabbed an assortment of wire wheels and some 100 grit flap discs and started going to town.

Still have some cleaning to do on the axle in certain areas. I'm going to degrease, laquer thinner, 2 coats of Rusto rust inhibitor, and use the 2 in 1 prime/paint for it, I chose Rusto Hammered Black Finish. We'll see how that comes out. I also ordered up a new pinion seal, wheel bearings and seals and a diff cover from Dan at RuffStuff.

Got the C-Rok braces painted and the Libby backing plates finished up. Also rust converted the axle. Cross pin bolt is giving me sh** though. Going to add some heat and a turbo socket and keep my fingers crossed...

Couldn't help it and took her for a small ride around the island tonight in the snow. Still needs a lot but was satisfying to see how far the rattle trap has come in 3 months...
The girlfriends WJ. Well maintained and mostly stock. As of now it's just an intake, 3" cat and back, and some stock sized all terrains.
Also while taking the Jeep photos I felt bad not taking a picture of the Ram. Day in and day out beatings for 12 years and almost 280K and it runs like a charm. Tranny and T case shift smooth as silk and it rides primo. From gross overloading the bed, to pulling horse trailers 2500s should pull, to recovering people stuck all day and night on the island in blizzards like today, it's always there for me.
